The music ministry at Victory Baptist Church, led by Bro. David Williams, is a great asset.  The most obvious response to God is worship.  The word worship comes from the Old English word "worth-ship," which means one is worthy to be exalted and acclaimed.  The Lord Jesus Christ is certainly worthy of our worship.  We not only sing songs about the Lord, we sing songs directly to the Lord.  Scripture tells us that music is an essential part of worship (Psalm 95:1-6, Psalm 100, Psalm 150).  Ephesians 5:19 says, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."  Our choir and musicians worship the Lord with variety, ranging from traditional hymns and Southern Gospel to praise and worship choruses.  Worship at Victory Baptist Church is in three directions: inward, outward, and ultimately upward under the direction of the Holy Spirit.  He is the reason we sing!
